When I first started The NoteShare, it was because I was searching for a blueprint—a way to live well, lead my family well, and not lose myself in the process. Last week, Pastor Keith Battle’s message, “The Pathway to Good Success, Pt. 1,”reminded me that the Bible isn’t just a spiritual book, it’s the life manual I’d been looking for all along. The kind of success God promises isn’t built on applause or possessions. It’s built on alignment with His Word, discipline in your walk, and peace that lasts. It’s the kind of good success you can actually sustain.
Here are my key takeaways from the message:
1. Success is Rooted in God’s Word
“The only power the Word has is the power you apply. Everything else is just language until it’s applied in your life.” - Pastor Keith Battle
If there’s one place to start building your life, it’s here. Joshua 1:8 lays it out plainly: meditate on the Word, live by it, and success will follow.
You can’t build a sturdy life on borrowed wisdom. You must know God’s Word for yourself. Open your Bible like you’re opening a blueprint…because you are.
2. Anticipation Activates Faith
“When I just said, ‘The Lord’s gonna give you good success,’ He was shouting you out.” - Pastor Keith Battle
This part of the message made me pause. How often do we come into worship or prayer just going through the motions? Pastor Battle reminded us that expectation sets the stage for revelation.
God wants to customize His Word for you, but you have to show up expecting it. When you believe He has something specific to say to you, you start to recognize His voice in the middle of the noise.
3. You Are God’s Masterpiece

Whew. This one got personal. I think many of us, especially women, live in that gap; good at what we do for work but not fully aligned with what we were created to do. That’s why we’re frustrated, and fulfillment feels elusive.
Ephesians 2:10 says we are God’s masterpiece—crafted with purpose, precision, and intention. There’s nothing accidental about you. The frustration is just a signal that it’s time to shift.
4. Work Your Gift & Stay Sharp
“Since you are a masterpiece, train for mastery.” - Pastor Keith Battle
Once you know your gift, you’ve got to work it. Pastor Battle reminded us that calling doesn’t cancel effort—if anything, it demands more of it. Training and development aren’t optional; they’re essential.
Skill is what keeps favor functional. You can be anointed and still ineffective if you’re dull. Ecclesiastes 10:10 says if the ax is dull, more strength is required—but wisdom sharpens the blade.
5. Success is Elevation Through Skill

This was a reminder that God elevates the excellent. Proverbs 22:29 says that skilled people will stand before kings—not remain hidden. Mastery and consistency invite opportunity.
And just as importantly—who you’re around matters. When your circle is sharp, you stay sharp. When your circle is distracted, you dull your edge.
6. Faith Informs Grief and Purpose
