You ever hear people say your gift is the thing that comes easiest to you?
For me, that’s always been writing and notetaking. I was the one people came to when they needed help putting their thoughts into words. A letter. A speech. A set of notes they missed. I’d gladly do it. It didn’t feel like work—it felt like breathing. But I never thought of it as my thing. Not really. It was just something I didn’t mind doing. Something I was good at. But not something I thought was worthy of being the thing.
Even with all the compliments, all the quiet encouragement—“You’re so good at this!”—I kept searching for something else. Something bigger. Shinier. More impressive. Something that looked like “success” to me.
So I searched. Achieved. Performed. And on paper, I was making progress. But something felt off. Misaligned. Like I was climbing uphill in shoes that didn’t quite fit, while time ticked loudly behind me. Exhausted. Frustrated.
Then I heard Myleik say four simple words:
“Let it be easy.”
And something in me exhaled.
I didn’t realize how deeply I’d accepted the lie that worth only came through the hustle and grind. So when ease showed up, I felt… suspicious. This can’t be it. Was I cheating the system? Was I playing too small? I must be tripping.
But then God confirmed it in the Word:
“For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
—Matthew 11:30 (NIV)
That verse hit. Because ease doesn’t mean you’re not working. It may mean you’re aligned.
When you’re walking with God, the weight may still exist, but the strain shifts. You won’t have to force what flows.
Looking back, The NoteShare was always there. Living in an open tab in the background of my mind. I was always willing to pull together a resource, share a note, summarize a message. I just didn’t realize it was part of my assignment.
Then life got hard—and I needed the notes. I needed reminders. I needed something that would carry me when I couldn’t carry myself. I needed a bridge to the other side… to the 2.0 version of me. And I needed something that wouldn’t get buried under my to-do list.
So I built The NoteShare. Not from pressure, but from purpose. I guess you can say I surrendered.
That “easy” skill; the one I used to overlook? It became a bridge to so many things, but most importantly, me.
And now, I pray it becomes a bridge for you, too.
A reminder that you don’t need perfect conditions to transform. You don’t have to wait until the kids are grown, the finances are stable, the stress disappears, or the schedule clears. You can evolve in the in-between.
And The NoteShare meets you there. Bringing the wisdom and instructions back to you, wherever you are.
So if you’re searching for your “thing,” don’t ignore what’s easy.
Sometimes the ease is the evidence.
Let it be easy.
